Mary lived with her parents just three doors away from me & my husband, Geoff. I had a lot to do with her mum, Lois, particularly supporting her when Andrew was born. Mary was a member of a youth fellowship that met each Sunday PM at my home. Thankfully she became as Christian - and immediately decided to share her new faith with her school friends ....... with quite an adverse reaction from them!
I have never forgotten what she said to me later "Auntie Pam, I have leaned something - before I talk to my friends about God, I must talk to God about my friends." I have often quoted her words to others.
Mary was the one who began to teach guitar to my middle son, Jeremy. He is now musical director at MIddlewich Church!!
