Mary dropped Amy off as usual, still heavily pregnant with James and due any time and gaily told me she was going for a drive out to the countryside and going for a long walk around a reservoir. Me, do you that's a good idea Mary? What if you go into labour? Have a fall? etc etc (me being a born worrier and drama queen) Oh it will be fine and off she trotted and of course she was fine. I truly believe if she had gone into labour she would have just got on with it, delivered James in the wild, wrapped him in her fleece jacket, drove to mine to collect Amy. No problem. Oh and probably gone and had a sit on her Bench in the garden while I ran around like a headless chicken. Nothing seemed to faze her, she always seemed so calm and cheerful and down to Earth and I'd imagine that's what made her The wonderful person, nurse, Wife, Mother she was.....
