Lake district, Keswick during Christian convention. Bumped into Mary at Booth's supermarket. She was carrying several shopping bags. Just getting supplies for the week.
Michael, " How did you get here?"
Mary, "on my bike"
Michael (imagining all sorts of road, bike and shopping bag disasters) , "erhh really, how you going to get all that back?"
Mary "on my bike"
Michael, "look, if you hang on I'll give you a lift back"
Mary, "no it's ok, I'll have this back in a jiffy, do this all the time"
Michael, "no, no I insist"
Mary then thanks me and shoots off on her bike with enough food to feed the 5,000.
Michael and Alice look on "blimey"........
